Dominic is 4 months old!

Our little munchkin is growing up so quickly! I can hardly believe that he is 4 months old, and no longer little (16lb 11 1/2 oz, 24 inches long!!)! I think back to our tiny peanut in the hospital at just 5 lb 14 oz and it is amazing to see the growth so far!
Just days old here!
Dominic loves playing with his toys and has started grasping anything he can, including mommy's hair and necklace! He also loves chewing on his hands and anything else he can get in his mouth! His favorite things is bouncing on our lap and he squeals and laughs the entire time. This is a very good arm workout, since this almost 17 lb baby is very heavy!! Just within the last week he has finally enjoyed car rides, whereas before he would scream the entire time. It made it very difficult to get out and do things, but now he is content in his car seat (thankfully) and loves spending time in the front pack while we shop, go to moms group or visit friends. We still enjoy our daily walks to the park when it isn't pouring rain. Every month I take his picture in my favorite outfit at that time. I decided to post most of those pictures because he is showing so much personality in his expressions.

Fishing adventures

For his birthday, Dom went fishing on the river with his Dad and father in law for the day. A guy from our church drove his boat and took them around to catch salmon. Unfortunately they didn't catch anything (out of 90 boats on the river that day only 3 people caught salmon). But they had great weather and had a good time.

This is a picture of a seal that ate a huge salmon right in front of them! They were dissappointed.

Friday night guys night out at Wild Buffalo Wings, Saturday he went fishing all day with his dad and his father in law on the river and then Sunday we had family over for brunch. The weather was perfect, sunny and in the low 70's and the weekend went too fast!

Easter

Our little Easter Bunny!
Dominic's first Easter was celebrated with a family lunch at our house. We had a great time with my parents, Dom's sister Julie and her husband Tyson, and Dom's stepmom Kathy. Dominic had a great time too! Dominic was a little too young to have an Easter egg hunt, so we had to dress him up like a bunny instead!
He playing in his Easter basket. He enjoyed playing with the grass.
Baby Dominic on Aunt Jules' lap
He loved spending time on people's laps, and eventually fell asleep from all of the excitement!

Nonnie Kathy and Baby Dominic
He loves spending time on his Nonnie's lap! He is playing with his new little panda bear that he got for Easter from Nonnie.
And of course he needs some snuggle time with Grandpa!
Baby Dominic, Uncly Tyson and Aunt Jules.
And family picture time!We are so thankful for the blessings that God has poured out on our lives. Our son, our health, our home, being completely out of credit card debt(praise God!!) a job for Dom that allows me to stay home with our precious baby boy. And most of all for the sacrifice that Jesus paid for us on the cross, the forgiveness of sins and the miracle of His conquering death and rising from the grave. Thank you Jesus! You bless us more than we deserve!

A sunny day in Portland!

Last week we actually had two days that were in the 70's. Everyone head's outside when there is a break in the rain here in the Northwest. Baby Dominic and I went on multiple walks that day, ending with a 2 1/2 hr family walk that night. I also had fun dressing Dominic in his cute little summer outfits that, sadly, may not fit him by the time summer comes. He is such a big eater that he is quickly growing out of his clothes!
Our little munchkin(daddy's name for him)! Here he is trying to stand at almost 4 months(with mommy's help)!
Dominic loves blowing bubbles!
This was also taken during our walk. Dominic is such a happy baby and smiles all the time... except when you put a camera in front of his face. He is a little camera shy right now and will actually will stop smiling when he sees a camera, so I was happy to get a picture of him smiling!

Saturdays

One of our favorite things to do on the weekend is head out to my parents house on Saturday for the day. Baby Dominic and I hang out with my mom, while Dom and dad go fishing for the day. When they come home, we have dinner (fish if they catch it), then we end the evening watching cops (dad and Dom's favorite show)! I must admit that it's pretty entertaining!! It's a pretty fun way to spend the day. :)
These are just a few of the fish Dom caught last year. We lived on Salmon for about 3 months and haven't had it since!!
Dom and Dad usually go fishing on the Nehalem river and are always finding new fishing spots. It doesn't matter what the weather is, rain or snow, they still head out!
This is a picture from this past Saturday. Baby Dominic has many fishing adventures awaiting him!!
And after a busy day of fishing, there is always time for a nap with Daddy!
